It’s been a long old time since I have written on the blog, it’s been on a large list of things to do but something always needed to be done first…. But here we go a quick blog about a couple of trips to the big Smoke last week.
Chelsea Flower Show
Well – wow, what to say really as I’m sure it’s all been said before – but it was a fantastic year at The Chelsea Flower Show 2019. It was wonderful, I was in my element! So much to look at and take in and I left full of inspiration and soooo many ideas that I wanted to do in our garden at home.
Many people think that because I work with silk flowers, I’m not interested in real flowers but that’s simply not true. I adore flowers and can spend hours pottering in our garden and allotment – I mean I’m even growing my own cutting flowers….. but sometimes silks are just more practical, and when wedding flowers can cost so much money, why not chose something that will serve as a lasting memory or your day and not end up in the bin. Anyway back to Chelsea, and as Julie Andrews says, ‘here are a few of my favourite things’.
London EXPO 2019, International Garments and Fabrics Trade Fair
I was so honored to be asked by Tatty’s Original Dress Designer and Maker to make some headpieces and corsages for her evening wear collection. It was such a great show and the models were amazing on the catwalk.
